Chondelles

Well another Saturday training session completed.  We worked on right to left Chondelles.

Like most people, in the beginning some of the students were struggling with the Chondelle.  After I explained to the students where the sweet spot was, and what the target was doing in that sweet spot, things started to become easier.

After a short amount of time everyone was hitting the Chondelles with consistency.  As we moved back one student asked me "What do I need to do to hit this target from here?"

The answer, the same thing you were doing to hit it at 20 yards.  As the distance increases the move is the same, the only thing that will change is the forward allowance of the muzzle.  After a few tries the student said "You're right.  I'm making the same move to the target that I was doing at 20yds."  Others were amazed that the same target that was plaguing them before was actually pretty easy now.

Things appear hard until you understand what you're doing and why you're doing it.  Start working on the targets that give you trouble and you will become a better shooter.  Don't keep shooting the targets that come easy to you, force yourself to work on the problem targets.
